More than 20 per cent of the energy demand in Germany is covered by natural gas. During combustion, natural gas releases a lot of energy in the form of heat. This makes it an important energy source for the production of heat and electricity. On a global scale, natural gas is one of the most important energy sources, after petroleum and coal. But it is also used as a raw material in the chemical industry and as a fuel for vehicles. In the energy mix with the regenerative energy sources sun, wind and water, natural gas is of great significance. But what exactly is natural gas and how is it extracted?

Apart from the fascina- tion of computer games for users, the historical development as well as the production of computer games are described. The established genres are introduced, the guidelines of the German BPjM are explained. In light of recent public discussions, a neutral overview of the pros and cons of playing computer games is given, and different kinds of player behaviour are outlined. In this film, the pupils will recognise many aspects of their favourite pastime that encourage an independent, constructive use of this medium and reinforce their media competency. The film and teaching material are very closely related to the real-life situation.
