Almost every biochemical reaction in living organisms is regulated and controlled by enzymes. Without enzymes we could not breathe, digest food and the hereditary information in our cells could not be repaired and copied. The industrious helpers are in the food we eat and, moreover, are fundamentally involved in the production of many everyday items as real all-rounders. They make the dough light and fluffy, are in washing and cleaning agents, in toothpaste and shampoos. Undetected they assist us in everyday life and facilitate our daily routine.
